Key takeaways

  • syte won the AI Start-up Prize at WELT's German AI Prize in 2023
  • The AI platform shows what is possible on a plot of land for any address
  • The website hero explains the product in three steps: Evaluate, Design, Scale
  • At Expo Real 2026, we presented syte with its own website as a framed poster

Some clients make it easy to be proud. syte is one of them. The start-up from Münster won the AI Start-up Prize at the German AI Prize in 2023 and builds software you really have to see to understand. For web design, syte relies on us. Last week we visited the team at Expo Real in Munich and brought a small gift.

Who is syte?

syte is an AI platform for real estate plots. You enter an address and see within seconds what is possible on the plot: development, renovation, energy and profitability. To do this, syte combines property and market data into digital twins. The platform is used by project developers, the housing industry, banks, brokers and planners, in other words everywhere a lot of time still goes into research, coordination and Excel spreadsheets.

The platform is made up of several products: plot search, potential analyses for development, energy and photovoltaics, profitability calculations, renovation plans and 3D designs placed directly on the real plot. So a lot of software, and all of it is pretty visual.

Winner of the German AI Prize

In September 2023, WELT awarded the German AI Prize in Berlin. In the AI Start-up Prize category, four finalists pitched live, and the audience voted on site and via livestream. According to its own announcement, syte won by a wide margin. For us, this means one thing above all: behind the beautiful interface is a product that really delivers. And a product like that deserves a website that shows it.

Why a visual product needs special web design

With software like syte, a screenshot of the dashboard is not enough. If you don't know the product, all you see at first is numbers and shapes. syte gets exciting the moment an address turns into a result: a plot on the map, a building volume in 3D, a key figure you can base a decision on.

That exact moment is what we brought into the website hero. Instead of listing every feature, the homepage shows the path in three steps: Evaluate, Design, Scale. We planned the flow in Figma and built it in Webflow with Lottie animations and a page load interaction, without any custom code. We wrote down how it works in detail in our guide to the SaaS hero, and in the video on our YouTube channel we show every step.

Our visit to Expo Real 2026

Expo Real in Munich is the major trade fair for real estate and investment, and for a proptech like syte it is of course a must. At the beginning of October, syte had its own booth there, and we got to stop by. A big screen, city maps, building volumes in yellow: at the booth you could see right away how well the brand works in a physical space too.

A small gift: the website as a poster

We didn't want to show up empty-handed. So we printed syte's homepage as a poster and framed it. From the headline "Know in seconds what is really possible for any address" to the comparison "1 hour instead of 26 days", the whole page is now a picture for the wall.

Why a poster? Because otherwise a website only lives on screens. You scroll through, click on and quickly forget how much work goes into every section. Framed, you suddenly see the page as a whole: the structure, the hierarchy, the rhythm. For us, that is the nicest way to say thank you.

What we take away from the collaboration

A product that keeps growing needs a website that can grow with it. That is why we build cleanly in Webflow following Client-First, so new products and pages can be added quickly without breaking the system.

Three things we take away from the project and apply again with every SaaS client:

  • Show the one moment your product makes sense instead of listing every feature.
  • Plan motion before you build it. Figma first, animation after.
  • Build it so your team can maintain the site themselves.

Thanks to the syte team for letting us stop by the booth. We are looking forward to everything that comes next.

Do you also have a product people need to see to understand? Then tell us about it.
