Migration

Classification

Webflow or WordPress?

Both systems have their merits. Webflow excels when design, performance, and ease of maintenance are the priority: hosting, security, and updates are handled by the platform, while your team manages content directly in the editor.

WordPress makes sense if you rely on specific plugins, an existing ecosystem, or full control over your own server. We provide honest advice and implement the system that fits your project.

Moving with clean redirects

During a migration, we handle the content, structure, and redirects to ensure that visitors and search engines can still find your pages after the move.

Platform Guide

The right platform, migrated seamlessly.

Which system suits your business, when it makes sense to switch, and how to migrate without losing your rankings.

Which platform is right for you?

We work with both major systems and will tell you openly which one is a better fit for your project. Our focus is on Webflow, as one of only 7 Webflow Premium Partners in Germany.

  • Webflow is a good fit if your website should be a flagship for your brand, your team wants to manage content themselves, and you want to get rid of maintenance, updates, and security concerns. Hosting, SSL, and CDN are included.
  • WordPress is a good fit if you rely on specific plugins or WooCommerce, if your IT department requires self-hosting, or if your team is already familiar with WordPress. We build it intentionally lean, using as few plugins as possible.

In both cases, we design everything individually in Figma, without using theme builders. Learn more at Webflow Design Agency and WordPress Design Agency.

When a switch is worth it

Most migration inquiries start with the same sentence: The website has grown over the years, every update is a risk, and small changes take too long. Typical triggers:

  • Updates and maintenance are a constant drain on time and nerves.
  • The site is slow and the design is hitting its limits.
  • Your marketing team wants to publish content faster on their own.
  • A major version upgrade is due for TYPO3.
  • A website builder like Wix, Jimdo, or Squarespace has become too small for your brand.

It is equally honest to say: If your business runs on a large WooCommerce shop or requires self-hosting, you are often better off staying with WordPress. And sometimes the problem isn't the platform at all, but rather the structure or a lack of proper training.

How to migrate without losing rankings

It is crucial that nothing built up over the years is lost during a move: content, rankings, and backlinks. That is why every migration we handle follows the same five steps:

  1. Inventory

We crawl your current website to capture every URL, all content, rankings, backlinks, and forms.

  2. Structure and concept

We reorganize content where it makes sense and plan the new site structure. Every old URL is assigned a clear destination.

  3. Design and implementation

Your website is rebuilt from scratch, featuring a custom design and CMS collections for your blog, case studies, or job openings.

  4. Content migration

Texts, images, meta data, and alt tags are migrated in a structured manner, and blog posts are imported directly into the CMS.

  5. Launch and SEO protection

301 redirects, sitemap, Search Console, and tracking are active on launch day. Afterward, we closely monitor rankings and error pages.

Minor fluctuations after the launch are normal; the foundation remains intact. The process is detailed in our WordPress to Webflow guide.

Pre-migration checklist

With these points, you will be well-prepared, whether you are migrating from TYPO3, Wix, Jimdo, or Squarespace:

  • Gather access credentials: Domain, current CMS, Google Search Console, and tracking.
  • Identify key pages: Which pages drive traffic, rankings, and inquiries?
  • Review content: What is being migrated, what is being consolidated, and what can be removed?
  • List features: Forms, plugins, integrations, and language versions.
  • Clarify maintenance: Who will manage the content after the launch?
