Web design for industry, mechanical engineering and engineering firms
For manufacturers, machine builders and engineering firms that are technically ahead and finally want to show that online too.

What matters in industry
What your target audience really expects.
An industrial website has several target groups at once: procurement and management, engineers with technical questions, international customers and skilled workers checking out an employer. They all look closely, and they all have little time. Premium B2B means everyone finds what they need in a few clicks.
Several decision-makers, one website
Procurement wants reliability, engineering wants data, management wants a partner on equal footing. A clear structure leads each role to its answers without overwhelming the others.
What a B2B website has to deliver
Technical depth, well organized
Processes, machines, certifications. For Heigl Blaubeuren, we structured welding, CNC milling, bending, laser technology and the ISO certifications so that new prospects instantly find the relevant information.
Credibility instead of gloss
Industrial customers decide for the long term. Real photos from production and team, certificates, references and clear contacts convince more than big promises.
Win over skilled workers
Applicants check your website just like customers do. A careers page with real insights, clear positions and a simple application shows why it's worth working for you.
Reach international customers
If you deliver or trade worldwide, you need a website that works in every language. We plan multilingual support from the start, including navigation and SEO for each language.
Make processes visible
Photos, 3D and motion show machines and workflows so that non-engineers also understand what's behind them. For DRH, a world map zooms in on the locations in Europe as you scroll.
Maintain products and downloads yourself
We set up products, data sheets, news and jobs as CMS collections. Your team adds new entries or swaps documents without the layout suffering.
One roof for company and sub-brands
Established industrial companies often have several entities. At DRH, a consistent brand system unites the sub-brands FUREC, SRHG and DRR under one strong roof.
Where industrial websites waste potential.

A presence from yesterday
The website has grown over the years while the products have evolved. Anyone who finds you online underestimates what your company delivers today.
Too technical, not tangible enough
Data sheets and technical terms convince engineers, but not procurement and management. Both need to understand quickly why you're the right partner.
Skilled workers look elsewhere
Applicants check your website just like customers do. An outdated presence costs you exactly the talent you urgently need.
A presence at the level of your technology.
We make complex products and processes understandable for decision-makers, buyers and applicants alike. With a clear structure, premium imagery and a CMS in which your team maintains products, news and jobs themselves.

Services in detail
What we build for industry and engineering.
For manufacturers, machine builders, suppliers and engineering firms: building blocks that show technical expertise and convince customers and applicants alike.
Service and process pages
Every process and every service gets its own page with benefits, capabilities and images from practice. That way procurement and engineering quickly find what they're looking for, and Google understands what you offer.
Product catalog in the CMS
We set up products, machines or product lines as a collection with filters. Your team adds new products themselves, and the design always stays clean.
Downloads and certificates
Data sheets, certificates, brochures and standards in one place, easy to find and easy to replace. For many buyers, this is the first stop on your website.
Careers page
Open positions as a CMS collection, real insights into team and production and an application without hurdles. That turns the website into a tool for your recruiting.
Photos and film from production
We plan the imagery and create it with photo, film or 3D. Real footage from the shop floor, lab and team shows precision more credibly than any stock photo.
3D and scroll animations
Machines, processes or international reach become tangible with 3D and scroll-driven animations. Every movement has a job and doesn't slow down loading times.
Multilingual content and locations
We structure multiple languages, locations and contacts so that international customers land directly with the right person. You maintain content for each language yourself.
B2B inquiry paths
Project inquiry, callback or direct contact: we build forms that fit your sales process and connect them to your tools. So that every inquiry reaches the right team.

FAQ
Can we maintain product data and data sheets ourselves?
Yes. We set up products, downloads and technical data as a CMS structure. Your team adds new products or swaps data sheets without the layout suffering.
Do you build multilingual websites too?
Yes. We plan multilingual support from the start so content, navigation and SEO work cleanly in every language.
Does a new website also help with recruiting?
Yes. A modern careers page with real insights, clear positions and a simple application makes a noticeable difference, because applicants today compare employers online first.
How long does a project with Webwavers take?
That depends on the scope. After the initial consultation, you get a timeline with fixed milestones before the project starts. That way you always know what happens next.
What happens if I don't like the design?
If you're not fully convinced after the moodboards and the first design sections, you get your deposit back in full. This guarantee has never been claimed so far.

Guide: industry
Web design for industry and engineering: technology that convinces online.
The essentials at a glance, in 7 chapters. Jump straight to the topic that's on your mind right now.
Who really visits an industrial website
Many industrial websites have grown over the years while the company has evolved. The result: anyone who finds you online underestimates what you deliver today. That's why, before we design a page, we look closely at who actually visits it.
- Procurement and management want to understand quickly whether you're a reliable partner.
- Engineers and technical staff look for processes, capacities, tolerances and certifications.
- International customers need the most important information in their language.
- Applicants check whether your company is an attractive employer.
A good industrial website serves all four without one group overwhelming the other. We've summarized how to tell that your current site no longer manages this in our post How to spot an outdated company website.
Technical depth without overload
Data sheets and technical terms convince engineers, but not necessarily procurement and management. The solution isn't less technology but a better order: first the benefit, then the principle, then the details for experts.
For Heigl Blaubeuren, we rethought the entire website. Services such as welding, CNC milling, bending and laser technology, as well as topics like the ISO 9001 and ISO 3834 certifications, manufacturing depth, references and careers, are now presented clearly. As a result, new prospects instantly find the relevant information.
What helps
- A separate page for each process or product group
- Short intro texts with the benefit for the customer
- Technical data and downloads clearly visible, but not first
- Real images from production instead of symbolic photos
Trust: what B2B customers check
Industrial customers enter long-term partnerships. Accordingly, they look closely. They want to see who is behind the company, which standards apply and who you've already worked for.
That doesn't require gloss. Credibility comes from clear layouts, generous white space and a reduced design language, as with REA. Add certificates, references, real contacts with photos and imagery that shows your company and not just any company. What else a B2B website has to deliver, you can read in our post What a B2B website has to deliver.
Brand as the foundation
Often a better presence doesn't start with the website but with the brand. For DRH, the rebranding created a consistent system from logo and colors to business stationery, workwear and vehicles. It unites the sub-brands FUREC, SRHG and DRR under one roof.
The website as a recruiting tool
Skilled workers today compare employers online first. An outdated presence costs you exactly the talent you urgently need. A modern careers page can therefore be just as important as the product pages.
- Show real insights into team, shop floor and everyday work.
- Set up open positions as a CMS collection so HR can maintain them.
- Keep the application simple, even from a smartphone.
- Describe concretely what applicants can learn and achieve with you.
That turns the website into not just a sales tool but a recruiting tool as well. And often you notice the effect first in job interviews, when new people tell you what they saw on the site.
International and with several locations
Many industrial companies deliver worldwide or operate at several locations. The website has to reflect that: several languages, clear contacts per region and a structure in which international customers find their way immediately.
We plan multilingual support from the start so content, navigation and SEO work cleanly in every language. Technically, we build most projects in Webflow. Afterwards, your team maintains products, news, jobs and downloads themselves, in every language and without code. For Phasic Energy, we translated a highly complex technology into a clear information architecture, with a focus on performance, scalability and a stable build in Webflow.
Brand first, then website
Not every project starts with web design. For MSP and Innovspatial, we first developed a corporate identity, industrial, precise and structured. It's the foundation for the website built on top of it. That way, website, presentations and trade show presence fit together seamlessly later on.
Motion with a purpose: the DRH example
In industry, animations aren't an end in themselves. Used well, they explain something a static image can't. DRH is an internationally active raw materials trader. A static map with a few dots doesn't tell that story. A map that moves from the whole world to Europe as you scroll and shows the locations there does.
We built the effect entirely in Webflow with Interactions with GSAP, without video and without Lottie. A long scroll section sets the pace, a sticky wrapper keeps the map in view, and a timeline with scrub links every scroll point to a state of the map. We show how this works in detail in our guide to the world map scroll animation and in the accompanying video.
When animations are worth it in industry
- When a process needs explaining, such as the path of a raw material or a manufacturing step.
- When size or reach should become tangible, for example locations or markets.
- When a product needs to be shown from the inside that you otherwise can't see.
What always matters is that the page stays fast and the animation also works on tablet and smartphone. For mobile devices, we build a separate, calmer variant if needed.
How we work
Every project follows a clear process. You always know where we stand and when you're needed.
- Understand what sets you apart: In the initial consultation and with our onboarding questionnaire, we clarify which strengths really convince your customers.
- Structure and concept: We organize products, industries, services and careers so that everyone instantly finds what they're looking for.
- Moodboards and first sections: You see the direction early. If you're not convinced after that, you get your deposit back.
- Design and build: All pages in Figma, followed by the build in Webflow with CMS, multilingual support and inquiry paths.
- Launch and training: We go live together and show your team how to maintain products, news and jobs themselves.
You have a dedicated contact person and your own Slack channel. You'll find all the details on our page about the process.
How much time do I have to invest myself?
We keep your effort as low as possible. You're involved at the decisive points: briefing, approvals and final feedback. We take care of the rest.
Are there ongoing costs after launch?
Yes, for hosting and platform licenses, for example the Webflow site plan. If you want to hand off maintenance, updates and further development, there are our growth packages for maintenance, SEO, GEO and conversion.
